3-D Electronic Unpacking
3-D Electronic Unpacking is a software tool that features:
- TSS proprietary and patent pending technology
- Automatically "unpacks" bag electronically by mimicking physical unpacking to generate inside views of "unpacked" bags
- Clearly
marks detected threats in 3-D
- Screeners have access to Expert-on-Demand service
- The only unpacking technique developed, tested and optimized for security applications
Demonstration of the TSS proprietary 3-D Electronic Unpacking
The unpacking begins with a surface rendering of the entire bag as shown in (a). The surface rendering with a portion of the bag peeled (i.e., unpacked) is shown in (b). (c) shows the surface rendering of the cassette radio. (d), (e), and (f) show three views of the volume rendered radio. The two speakers, a pack of batteries, and the two six-ounce explosive stimulants hidden underneath the right speaker are all clearly visible due to different transparencies for different objects. (g), (h) and (i) show volume renderings zoomed and localized to the two explosive stimulants. The detected explosives will be clearly marked for the screeners benefit as in (g). No markings are shown for (h) and (i). All images have been reduced to show more views in this limited space.
A higher-resolution 3-D view of the suitcase and cassette radio shown in figure (b) above
All components of the radio are clearly depicted. The 3-D views are shown in color with explosive-like material rendered in red, metal in blue, and innocuous materials in gray.
