Cutting-edge AI-powered screening and imaging solutions for aviation security

TeleSecurity Sciences, Inc. (TSS), headquartered in Las Vegas, develops AI-powered screening and imaging solutions for aviation security. Our products address critical operational needs for enhanced detection performance, open architecture integration, and training efficiency across global airport environments.

Core Product Portfolio

1. CATR: Common Automated Threat Recognition

CATR is an AI-powered explosive detection system (EDS) software for cargo, checked baggage, and carry‑on screening. It integrates directly with existing X‑ray and CT scanners, enabling enhanced threat detection without requiring hardware replacement. Delivered as a modular plugin, CATR supports rapid adoption and low‑friction deployment across diverse screening environments.

2. CW: Open Architecture Enabling Common Workstation

The Common Workstation (CW) is an open‑architecture enabling platform that electronically “unpacks” bags and renders individual 3D objects for screener adjudication. CW is currently undergoing active testing at multiple airports, with potential deployment upon successful evaluation. CW aligns with TSA’s Open Architecture initiative and positions TSS as a key contributor to next‑generation screening ecosystems and open architecture.

Target customers for CATR and CW include:

  • Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

  • Airport operators (e.g., Heathrow, Schiphol, Incheon)

  • Government agencies and regulators

Our team has collaborated extensively with major OEMs, leading airports, regulatory bodies and technical standards committees, providing a strong foundation for commercialization.

Expansion Products

3. OTS — Officer Training System

The Officer Training System (OTS) modernizes current training environment. Today, airport operators purchase over a dozen different OEM‑specific viewing stations for screener training. OTS consolidates this fragmented ecosystem into a single device covering over 90% of deployed viewing stations.

This consolidation reduces procurement and maintenance costs while standardizing training across the workforce. OTS will initially be offered to US Airports, with potential expansion to international regulators and airport operators.

4. AI Labeling & Evaluation System for 3D Volumetric Data

This platform unifies TSS’s internal 3D imaging tools into a single system for labeling (annotating) and evaluating volumetric datasets. It provides voxel‑level threat annotation—a capability implemented and proven in our CW product—and supports organizations developing AI models for aviation security, medical imaging, and other volumetric‑data applications.

Target users include:

  • AI startups

  • Research institutions

  • Applied imaging teams

Unlike annotation tools built for Large Language Models (LLMs), which focus on text, our system is purpose‑built for 3D volumetric imagery. While the 3D annotation market is smaller than the LLM annotation market, it is expected to approach $1 billion, driven by growth in CT‑based AI applications.
