TeleSecurity Sciences (TSS) is developing algorithms and display solutions for the airport security industry in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and major suppliers of airport security scanners.  TSS is also developing new scanner technologies for the medical imaging field, including X-ray CT fluoroscopy systems and future cardiac CT scanners using second generation electron beam scanning techniques.

Image Processing Scientist/Engineer

Job Description

This job will involve development of advanced image processing algorithms for automated analysis of airport security images.  One task is detection of liquids using dual-energy X-ray scans from multiple directions.  Another task is the detection and recognition of objects in cluttered images, including X-ray projection images and CT multi-slice image sets.  Yet another task is the development of advanced 3-D volume rendering and visualization workstations.  The software will be developed in a combination of C, C++, C# and Matlab.

Qualifications

The applicant will have a recent degree in engineering sciences, physics, or math.  This is an ideal position for a recent Ph.D. graduate (B.S./M.S. degrees are also acceptable).  We require good communication skills in English, as well as relevant academic training. The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: (1) application programming, (2) statistical image/signal processing, and (3) x-ray and CT physics.

Product/Marketing Manager

Job Description

The product/marketing manager will be responsible for developing specifications and marketing materials for associated products, and communications with industry representatives and government officials.  The manager will oversee the introduction of products into the airport security industry both domestic and worldwide through tradeshows, direct advertising, and sales contacts. The program manager will help with proposal preparation, sales agency agreements, and development of new products and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

The applicant will be a college graduate with some experience in product management and sales of high tech products. Experience or knowledge of the airport security field will be a plus, but not required.  Experience with medical imaging would be especially valuable.  The applicant must have knowledge of technical product marketing, verbal and written communications skills, have excellent sales skills, and be comfortable with computer software and hardware.

Compensation

The company will pay competitive salary with benefits commensurate with experience and skills.   This position will also be eligible for company’s employee stock option plan. TSS is located 15 minutes from the entertainment centers along the Las Vegas strip.  US citizens and permanent residents are preferred, but not required.
